Corey Houston Jordan Wiley Sr. was born on May 31, 1986, in Oak Park, Illinois, to Mildred and Houston Wiley. From the very beginning, Corey brought light, energy, and a strong sense of connection to everyone around him.
He was raised in a loving family and was an active member of his home church, Gammon, where he developed a strong spiritual foundation that would guide him throughout his life. Corey received his early education at Helen M. Hefferan Elementary School on the west side of Chicago, where his charisma and natural leadership began to shine.
Corey went on to attend John Marshall High School, where he was widely recognized as a standout athlete-earning the admiration of peers and faculty alike. Proudly known as a Commando, he carried that pride with him throughout his life. It was during his high school years that Corey met his high school sweetheart, Jessica Brumfield, beginning a love story that would become a meaningful part of his journey.
Corey was more than family—he was a brother in every sense of the word. Though many knew them as cousins, they shared a bond that was truly that of siblings, built on love, loyalty, and a lifetime of shared experiences.
He leaves behind a lasting legacy in the many lives he touched. Corey's presence extended far beyond family, reaching into a wide community of co-work-ers, associates, and friends. Anyone who had the privilege of crossing paths with Corey was impacted by his spirit, his energy, and his genuine heart. His influence will continue to live on through all who knew and loved him.
God called his good and faithful servant home on June 15, 2026. He was welcomed into heavens gate by both of his parents. Best friend/ cousin Charles wiley. Also infinite love of family members and friends
Corey leaves to cherish his memory, Grandmother Faytonia Fair. Close Friend , Jessica Brumfield; his children, Son Corey Houston Jordan Wiley Ji, and Daughter Codei Wiley. Sister Colby Wiley, Nephew Joseph Robinson jr. Aunts, Geneva Ormond, Annie Whitmore , Carlella Sutherland, Francis Laverne Emir. Uncles Herman wiley and Peter Pullen. A host of extended family members who were dear to him as siblings, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
He is also remembered fondly by a community of co-workers, associates, and friends whose lives he touched in countless ways.
Corey will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
