Elizabeth Rose Reed, affectionately known as "Fluff", a nickname given by her father due to her chubby face as a baby, was born October II, 1963 in Chicago, Illinois to Levola Reed and Norman Reed whom both proceeded her in death.
Elizabeth was raised in the Near North Side/Old Town neighborhoods and attended Near North Magnet Career High School where she received her formal education. Immediately after graduating high school started working at a local bank in the community.
Throughout her educational career she received her Bachelor's Degree from American Intercontinental University and was currently in pursuit of obtaining her Master's Degree in Social Work from Grand Canyon University.
In her early life, Elizabeth accepted Christ as her lord and savior and learned the importance of loving. Elizabeth was a member of the Total Deliverance Worship Center where she held a hospitality auxiliary position.
Elizabeth's faced hardships throughout life and knew in her heart those things were a part of her story but not a determining factor of who she was deep down within. Her drive was very evident in every aspect of her life to always be a better mother for her children and even greater grandmother for her grandchildren. She loved her children and grandchildren with ever part of her being, and for those who knew her, knew exactly that. "She did not play about THEM".
Elizabeth approached challenges with unwavering confidence and always sought opportunities to grow and succeed. Her strong will and independent spirit inspired those around her, leaving a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Elizabeth Reed leaves to cherish her memories her three children- Ebony Morgan-Simmons (Christopher Simmons Sr.), Allen Baker Jr., and Michelle Reed. Three grandchildren-Isis Simmons, Christopher Simmons Jr., and Layla Simmons. Two Sisters- Chaquitta Reed, and Crystal Davis, Three Aunts- Dorothy Harrison, Joyce Reed, Charleen Adams (Preceded in death). Three Uncles- Albert Burns Jr., Ronald Rouse, and Leonard Rouse (whom all proceeded in death. Four Nieces - Jakeyla Reed, Danielle Davis, Taliyah Davis and Tyshauna White. Five Nephews - Deonta Reed, Tovan Reed, Ronald Edwards, Henry Mayfield Jr. (Preceded in death), and Frederick Jenkins Jr. Sixteen great nieces and nephews. God Daughter, Melissa Mitchell, and a host of many other family members and friends.
