Jeffery Lee Brown

Jeffery Lee Brown was born on July 23, 1953, in Merigold, Mississippi, to the union of Mae Bertha Weatherspoon and Percy Brown.

Jeffery received his high school diploma from John Marshall High School and went on to build a life filled with hard work and dedication. Throughout the years, he held many different jobs, but the one he loved most was being a cab driver. He proudly worked at the well-known cab station KC Cab Company, where he met and connected with countless people throughout the community.

Jeffery was a loving and devoted son, father, uncle, cousin, and friend. He loved wholeheartedly and never hesitated to show kindness and compassion to those around him. Known for his strength, integrity, and unwavering character, Jeffery was truly A REAL MAN who left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.

On June 5, 2026, Jeffery peacefully entered eternal rest. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Augusta Stapleton, William Stapleton, Gust Brown, Percy Brown Jr., Wilbert Stapleton, and Joyce Brown.

Jeffery leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to be carried on by his daughters; Treva Pendleton (Roy), Jade Crenshaw, Yerinita Curtis, and Nikia Williams. His sons; Maurice Curtis and Samuel Davis; his sisters, Eloise Brown and Mary Stapleton; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

Though he is no longer with us in body, his love, wisdom, and memory will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
