With love and remembrance, we announce the passing of Luella Jones better known as Lue who departed this life on Saturday June 27th, 2026 at the age of 89.
Lue was born on June I1,1937 in Richmond, Georgia to George and Ella Graham. She was the oldest of nine children born to this union. Her family later moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1950 where she met her husband Paul Jackson.
In 1959, Lue became a member of Landmark M.B Church under the leadership of Reverend Joseph Sylvester. she participated in the choir, on the trustee board and a member of the first aid nurses board. She was known for her kindness, smart mouth, tough attitude, being outgoing and involvement in the church.
Lue went to Mckinley Grammer School and later received her GED, Lue worked at Williams Electronics for some years, then she worked for the school bus company where she was a driver. Lue retired from the City of Chicago, where she was a crossing guard.. She also enjoyed Singing in the choir, taking the kids on trips with the church, sunday school, bowling, skating and being with family.
Luella leaves behind cherished memories with her Sisters: Ethel Wade, Juanita(Joe) Pope, Ludie(Lincoln) Stephens,Ann Richardson and Stella(Shellie) Green; Daughter : Debra (Clarence) Burge ;four grandkids: Charles Stanley Jr.,Katina (David) Thomas, Antione Stanley, Monique Stanley and Nikki Palmer (Terrence): Six Great Grandkids: Jasmine (Roger) Williams, Chynna, Shakuray, Martina, Jaelyn, Ambrojia and Marquese; And two Great Great Grandkids: LeZari Williams and Ceejay Nash.
She was preceded in death by Her Parents: George and Ella graham; husband: Paul Jackson; Two sons: Charles Stanley Srand Paul Stanley; Three siblings: Mary, Charlie and George. One Grandchild: Ivy Stanley.
Though deeply missed, Luella's love, laughter, and legacy will remain in the hearts ofall who knew and loved Her.
