Marvin Exson

Marvin was born on June 9, 1966, at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, to Barbara Jasper and Joe O. Exson. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend whose presence brought joy and laughter to everyone around him.

Marvin dedicated much of his career to working in security, where he was known for his reliability, professionalism, and strong work ethic. Outside of work, he enjoyed dancing, making people laugh with his natural sense of humor, keeping cars spotless, and using his skills as a carpenter. Marvin had a gift for bringing smiles to others and was happiest when spending time with family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved daughters, Marquisha Exson "Quita," Beatrice "BeBe" Sparkman, Baby Girl Xia Exson and His only Son Marvin Exson He was a proud grandfather to De'Arrionna "Arrie," Lumpkin, De'Avonnay "Chocolate" Lumpkin , Kayden Lee, Demi Pedroso and Samara Exson, all of whom brought immense joy to his life.

Marvin is also survived by his siblings: Johnnie Jasper (Clevonne), Tyrone Jasper, Andra Jasper, Debra Moore (Howard), and Verna Jasper, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Barbara Jasper and Joe O. Exson; his niece, Chevon Felton; and his nephews, Demitrius Manning and Donnell Moore.

Marvin will be remembered for his warm heart, infectious laughter, generous spirit, and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he touched and the cherished memories he leaves behind.

Though he is no longer with us in body, his love, laughter, and spirit will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
