Nick Hilary Davis Jr.

Nick Hiary Davis Jr. was born May 27, 1938 in Yazoo County Mississippi, to the loving parents of Nick Hilary S & Mary Davis also of Yazoo County, Mississippi, (both preceded him in death.

While still living in Yazoo County, in 1958 he met Doris Murphy, and on January 29, 1960, they were united in marriage. On January 1, 1966, with their fourth child on the way, Nick moved to Chicago, Illinois to find work and a home for his growing family. On February 19, 1966, his wife, with a new baby on the way and three boys, arrived in Chicago to their new home. In April of 1966, Nick found a permanent job at Craft Die Casting Co. Later on down the years, four of his sons would work side by side with him.

Nick would go on and work 40 plus years at this company and retired in 2008.

Nick was a hard working man who cared and loved his family. He instilled and showed great work ethic to his children. He would give his children advice when they asked, and would give them a good whooping as well when needed. He did his best and provided us all with the best that he could. Through it all, he raised each of his children according to his knowledge.

Nick departed this life peacefully on Friday February 27 2026. He leaves to cherish his precious memories, an amazing and loving wife, Doris Davis, 8 children, Dennis (Desaree) of Yazoo, MS, Victor, Larry, Carolyn(Don), Hilary(Tosha), Raymar, Sonya, and Takeshia, 2 brothers, Theophlis (Rosamay) of Vaughns, MS, William(proceeded in death),(Elizabeth) of Mississippi, 24 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, 1 great, great grandchild, 1 special cousin in-law (Earlean), and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and many, many friends.
