Tracy Tucker

Tracy "Gingo" Tucker was born on May 31, 1971, on the Near North side of Chicago, Illinois, to Clinton and Mary Tucker. He was the youngest of four children. From an early age, Tracy was known as an extraordinary child with a kind heart. He was baptized at a young age and attended church with his family.

Tracy was a natural-born athlete who loved playing football. He played defense as a linebacker, and his teammates proudly called him "Tracy Tucker." He was a powerful presence on the field, and few could come close to tackling him. He attended a professional football camp, and in 1988, the Chicago Sun-Times published an article highlighting his determination to become the best player he could be. Tracy graduated from Near North High School in 1989. Through his motivational words and example, Tracy left a lasting impact on the youth around him. He also left a great impact on people while telling you life stories. He had an infectious way of keeping a smile on your face.

A hardworking and honest man, Tracy worked side by side with his father in the security business for more than 20 years at Steven Jerold's Management. Tracy also became a care taker for his mother, he faithfully took her to dialysis for treatment.

On July 16, 2026, Tracy departed this earthly life, leaving behind a legacy of love, determination, hard work and a lasting impact on family, friends and community. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Mary Tucker; his grandmothers, Sarah Tucker Wallace and Carrie Phillips; his brother, Clinton Tucker Jr.; his brother-in-law, James Wallace; and his niece, Tenia Tucker.

Tracy's memory will be cherished by his three loving sisters, Rachel Tucker, Sarah Tucker, and Gloria Wallace; his special cousin "Charles Phillips", whom was raised with him like a brother: a host of nieces and nephews; and countless cousins, friends, neighbors, and community members who had the pleasure of knowing him.
